<p>The requirement for original content has grown considerably, with millions of sites online, search engines basically go out and look for new text. As the search engine spiders crawl the internet, they&#8217;re continually on the lookout for non-original content, if copies are found you can assure yourself that you&#8217;ll be penalized and your rankings will drop irrespective of how hard you push your site.</p>
<p>There are some possibilities however, if you&#8217;re feeling you cannot create content for your websites on your own, you can go out and hire ghostwriters that will write articles for you. There is also software out there that enables you to create articles and then submit them to hundreds and infrequently thousands of websites. The software will fully save you ages of time.</p>
<p>However you make a decision to create your content make sure you use your main keywords across the body of the content, but do not over due it, try to keep the p.c. around 2% keyword saturation. So if you had a 600 word article you would wish to use your main keyword about 12 times. Another one of my SEO tips is to form links across the content using keywords as the anchor text. For people who do not know what anchor text is, it is when you have a link, and instead of showing the full URL, you can hide the link behind a string of text.</p>
<p>While we are talking about links, make sure you use text links vs. Image links. The reason for this is your pictures typically don&#8217;t have relative names that would be useful to a search engine. So if you continue to have a need for an image link, confirm you use an alt tag and name your image using a keyword like&#8217;skatboardwheels.jpg&#8217; instead of&#8217;picture01.jpg&#8217;.</p>
<p>Lastly on the subject of content, try and keep your content fresh and updated on a regular basis, the search engines like unique content as well as your users, it is always sweet to come back to a page that has been updated.</p>

<p style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 1.3em; color: #000000;">The study also compared paid and free search results and finds that the free or organic listings of the traditional retailer websites have only a 2% share of the total listings. This is dramatically smaller than the share for free listings for eCommerce sites at 17%, shopping comparison sites at 11% and manufacturers’ websites at 10%.</p>
